Primil Nantes

The project is located on the banks of the Loire in Rezé, at the heart of the Nantes metropolis. The ambition is to reflect on an ecological and innovative city by emphasizing the pre-existing lines of force of the city's urban landscape. The site is intended to become the entry sequence to the heart of the new district.

The project proposes two sister volumes facing a garden. These two silhouettes open up to reveal the park and offer an experience of nature in the city, with a hint of the Loire landscape. It encourages the use of the groundfloor, creating a living environment that is pleasant and accessible to all.

The main aim of the project is to minimize the building's energy footprint while maximizing the comfort of its occupants. To achieve this, the structure is designed mainly in wood, and the facades in hemp concrete. This allows for flexible floor plates, stepped terraces and a roof left to residents to encourage social interaction and informal exchanges. The uses vary according to the time of year, and include small shops, flexible and collaborative offices, vast terraces and belvederes for communal living.

In short, it's a low-carbon, cultural project that encourages local initiatives, contributes to Rez's urban fabric and supports small local businesses.
