Marangoni Paris

Marangoni Paris

The project concerns the construction of an educational facility in rue de Lübeck in Paris. In order to respect the widths and depths of views and open spaces required by law, it will be organized in a "U" shape around a second courtyard, which will be enclosed by the existing party wall to the north. This is the result of careful consideration of integration with the urban context and reinterpretation of the site's history.

The façade finishing approach will consist of a variety of corrugated steel panels, each feature having a unique corrugation and being in a slightly different shade of grey. Full-height glass panels with metal windows and mullions will be incorporated on all facades to allow a maximum level of natural light and ventilation in a somewhat enclosed area.

Regarding the exterior spaces, the couryard will feature planted areas and visual connections. The external walkways becomem a showcase for the young designers to exhibit their work. In this way the internal courtyard become a public stage for the schools work. As for the roof, it will be divided into 3 parts: a non-accessible green roof, a succession of accessible terraces and sloping roofs.
