Les Galeries de l’Hôtel de ville

Les Galeries de l’Hôtel de ville

Between rue de Rivoli and the quays of the Seine, the site enjoys a paradoxical location, both central and yet little-known to Parisians, and still strongly marked by its road character. Tomorrow, this site will be at the heart of the transformation of Paris Centre, with its calmer quays and rebalanced public space. The Galeries de l'Hôtel de Ville is part of this twofold objective: to create an address opposite the Hôtel de Ville, and to create a space for strolling, exchanges and neighborhood life.

Since the early stages of the consultation, we have been proposing a programmatic identity that is resolutely, authentically and profoundly Parisian. Strategically inserted into a remarkable building that we are committed to preserving and showcasing, this sober yet ambitious proposal meets the major challenges of a site, a neighborhood and an era that calls for a profound transformation in the way we build.

To be authentically Parisian, the project had to be resolutely plural. Offices, residential units, shops and services coexist on the double block, in the purest tradition of Haussmannian architecture.

The eastern part of the Îlot Victoria is organized around its emblematic Cour d'Honneur and its galleries, open to the public and traversable from one side to the other. Stores, bars and restaurants, concept stores, terraces and new-generation offices are spread out widely and comfortably on the upper floors, facing the Seine and Hôtel de Ville.
