Rolling Stones

Rolling Stones

At a very specific moment of the highway appears a new multicomplex dedicated to the star of the Rolling Stones in Tours. A site, in one hand very isolated, and in the other hand extremely visible.

In the outskirts of Tours, we will celebrate a place where music is forming a display of different uses all in one singular cubic block. Imbricated in between all means of infrastructures (highway, bridge, river) we have suggested a simple and robust cubic figure, from which we transformed by a boolean operation the identity; we excavated a void inspired by the universal logo of the Rolling Stones.

The ghost of the iconic tongue is providing an excuse to organise the different programs: some major spectacles show theaters, rehearsal rooms, recording studios, some museums, exhibition center, the main void is a place of gathering, open-air music shows can be settled there. The form of the contour of the tongue offers some urban balconies to both the music event, but also to the magnificent Touraine landscape.

At night, the building will illuminate by its presence, it will also announce the sign of a new metropolitan urban face, where, exhibition centers, major shopping center, convention hall will readdress to the south the «Cher» river, and to the North the train station.

The stones will be rolling new Metropolitan experiences.
