Cachan

Cachan

The excellent qualities of this site are the starting point for our urban proposal: the immediate proximity to nature produces a green setting for the production of an organic, branched residential body, which is oriented in various ways towards the environment. The contextual qualities found form the typological basis for the design of the buildings, insofar as private outdoor space in the form of generous polygonal loggias establishes the essential element of the residential typology.

The project is thus articulated with its territory as a figure that unfolds towards and into the landscape, proposing an overall organization that unites the city, the campus and the park. Nature emancipates itself and coordinates uses, playing with the transparencies of the first floors and common spaces, the landscape guarantees ecological continuities, and the limits of the built complex are integrated into territorial logics.

The organic development of the project features apartments that are all unique, illustrating a new way of living in Cachan with a direct connection to the wider landscape. Due to the folded facades, the size of the buildings is underestimated, as at no point do we perceive the entire building, whose corners are formed by loggias that lighten the overall composition. The aim is to offer the pleasure of living in the privileged landscape of the site, while increasing access to air and light.
