Tours Archipel

The plan of the ZAC Beaumont - Chauveau has the ambition of opening a site that today enclosed itself.

The project is at the meeting point of several urban fabrics: a residential area, the new National Choreographic Centre of Tours, the future tramway line and preserved buildings including the remarquable Hotel de Condé. Its prior ambition is to connect and combine these structures. Its urban shape results of a transition between the scale of townhouses and the scale of the new district. It is a mediation between the existing city and the future one.

The roofs shape sculptural but lively, brings comfort of its housing and the generosity of shared spaces. On the ground, the project develops a huge vegetal heart. It creates a fresh pause at the scale of the building and a transition space at the scale of the district between small streets and big forecast.
