Antonypole

Antonypole

The fragmented discontinuous and heterogeneous territory of Antonypole was for us the starting point of our urban and architectural thinking. The singular positioning of the project site, lined with infrastructures and at the interface of large urban pieces inherited and heterogeneous zones forged very early our conviction to include the urban project within an enlarged territory, a federating and structuring urban system.

For this we focused on a strong readability of the site through a work on the implementation of topographic architecture that offers progressive heights. This gradual levelling of buildings helps to protect the suburban fabric of the northwest fringe of the site. It also makes it possible to shape the metropolitan silhouette of the project which finds its paroxysm on the South-West point thus protecting the heart of block of sound pollution from the highway.

We must not only consider the operation as a gateway to the different territories of Greater Paris, but as the node of a network connecting these territories.

The Innovation Campus in front of the station brings a significant dialogue but which is not enough to organise the whole territory. We propose a true heart of district as strong point which can make system with the surroundings. For this reason, our proposal consists of highlighting two axes that form an angle within which the urban strong point can be placed.
