WE WON SARANDA
Very happy to share that Clément Blanchet Architecture has won the international competition for the transformation of the former coastal quarry in Saranda.
An exceptional site. A radical landscape. And an extraordinary responsibility.
The competition brought together CBA, Massimiliano Fuksas and K Architecture.
On 28 September 2026, the jury — Lourenço Gimenes, Margherita Brianza, Marko Dabrovic, Jacopo Foggini and Michel Rojkind — selected our proposal.
Our project starts from one conviction:
Do not colonize the Mediterranean. Inhabit it.
The abandoned quarry becomes the starting point for a new landscape — a contemporary archaeology of stone, shade, water, wind and horizon.
Buildings become fragments of topography.
Architecture creates shade and shelter.
Landscape progressively returns.
Every intervention intensifies the relationship with the sea.
